The field is still there, the Taiping JKR (Public Works Dept)uses a tractor to cut its grass monthly. No civilian passenger flights operates to the airport. There was some attempt of chartered passenger flights from Subang to Taiping weekly(Friday-Sunday) by Berjaya Air in the 1980's.This stopped after the PLUS Highway opened. The Army/Air Force used it extensively for resupply of troops during the counter-insurgency up to 1989.Recent years, the Police is using the airfield for parachute training.December 2007, there was suppose to be an aero-modelling and Kit/Light aircraft expo there but there was not much news about it.
