You may have a point, caong. Thai durians don't seem to have as strong an 'odor' as our Malaysian counterfruit. Nevertheless, there is a market here in the US and I wonder how Thailand manage to ship theirs over here. The fresh ones (there are frozen ones in plastic containers) sell off pretty quick even at such steep a price. One durian can weigh about 10 to 15 lbs. and at US$5.00 a lb...well, you can do the math. Imagine buying one durian at over M$120.00! Anyway, what do durians cost nowadays in Malaysia? Haven't tasted a Malaysian durian for at least 25 years now.
